As a first-generation daughter to Polish immigrant parents, as well as a first-generation college graduate, Monica has always felt passionate about the importance of higher education. Lifelong learning has been such an integral part of her values that she has enthusiastically spent the last ten years working in and shaping the field of higher education. She aspires to make a positive impact in students’ lives and so naturally, she fits right in with the team and mission of Nuro Retention.
As an avid equestrian, you will find Monica often being thrown from her horse, Cabo, in her spare time. She has a strong connection to nature and loves to hike and spend time outdoors (which is not for the weary during the cold Chicago months). She is an active volunteer in her community and serves as the treasurer of her son’s Cub Scout pack when she’s not driving him back and forth a bajillion times to hockey, baseball and football practices.
